Srinagar, April 14 : Former Minister & Senior Leader JKAP Usman Majid has urged the JK Govt. to adopt a larger role at this critical moment & provide the required support to the Rural Communities.
Usman said, our rural population is extremely vulnerable to suffer from COVID-19 as they lack the required awareness, resources & all sorts of support mechanisms to combat the disease.
Village awareness and monitoring committees may be formed at Block & Panchayat levels for the purpose of creating awareness, surveillance and monitoring of COVID-19 among the rural masses, he said.
Usman Majid also urged the JK Govt. to start a Sanitization drive in all villages of J&k , as it is the need of hour to prevent the virus from spreading in the rural areas.
