Srinagar, Sep 25: National Medicos organization Kashmir in collaboration with Sewa Bharti J&K, Ekal Vidyalaya J&K & supported by Sewa Bharti Gujarat, NHM J&K successfully conducted 9th rishi kashyap swasthya sewa yatra (rkssy 2023) from 19-23rd september 2023 covering 8 districts , 15 blocks & 45 villages of remote and rural kashmir.
A total of 45 free medical & health awareness camps were conducted 15 teams of medicos (16 doctors & 30 students from other states & 09 students from kashmir).
There were around 50 NMO Kashmir Karyakartas & 100 Ekal + Sewa Bharti Karyakartas involved in organizing these camps roboustly supported by NHM J&K.
The event started with inaugural function on 19th sptember at 7 pm at faculty guest house GMC Srinagar in which in addition to introduction of visiting medicos dos & don’t’s of the medical camps were discussed.
The program started with deep prajjwalan and ended with kalyan mantra.
A convoy of 15 medicos teams were flagged off next day on 20th september 2023 in the morning at 9 am by shri jayanti badesia jee, adhyaksh Sewa Bharti Gujarat from faculty guest house GMC Srinagar to their respective block headquarters of the camp sites namely Srigufara, Larnoo, Anantnag city in district Anantnag, Charar-e-shrief, Beerwah, Doodpathri in district Budgam, Tral & Pulwama outskirts in district Pulwama, outskirt areas of district Shopian, Kanihama & Kreeri areas of district Baramulla, outskirt areas of Kupwara city & Handwara in district Kupwara, Hajin area in district Bandipora & Kagan area of district Ganderbal.
A total of 5000 patients were benefitted during these free medical camps and at various places health awareness lectures and interactions with the local natives were also conducted.
During the 3 day period of camping the visiting medicos stayed at the homes of the volunteer karyakart6as and lived among them . These camps are not only just medicaps but a way of acculturation and national integration which is the need of the hour.
NMO in colloboration with sewa bharti gujarat, ekal & sewa bharti j&k had been successfully conducting these annual medical camps titled rkssy every year since 2014 floods benefitting thousands of needy natives of kashmir. Nhm j&k had joined in supporting us for this noble cause the last 03 years.
Nmo bharat is an esteemeed association of dedicated allopathic medical & dental doctors & students spread pan india and for the last 03 years nmo kashmir wing had been actively c0nducting this yatra along with sewa bharti j&k.
