Srinagar, May 22 : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today reviewed the functioning of the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB), emphasizing the need to eliminate procedural delays and ensure time-bound recruitment processes. During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed officers to identify and remove existing bottlenecks that hinder the efficiency of the selection mechanism.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to transparency and fairness, Omar Abdullah underlined that recruitment across all departments must be carried out in a prompt and efficient manner. He stressed that a streamlined and accountable system is essential to meet the aspirations of job-seeking youth in the Union Territory.
The review meeting is part of the administration’s broader push for reform in public service recruitment, aiming to build public confidence through merit-based selections and adherence to strict timelines.
