SRINAGAR, October 8: With National Conference-Congress alliance set to form goverment in Jammu and Kashmir, NC President Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday announced that his son Omar Abdullah will be the Chief Minister.

The anouncement was made by Senior Abdullah while interacting with media at Gupkar and came amid trends suggesting National Conference to be emerging as single largest party in 90- member assembly excluding 5 nominated MLAs.

So far National Conference has won 8 seats and was leading on 33 others while it’s alliance partner Congress has won two seats and was leading on 4 other seats. Also CPI (M) has leading on 1 seat, suggesting that the alliance and like minded parties would form goverment without any fuss.(GNS)
