Cold wave conditions continued in the Kashmir Valley on Wednesday as minimum temperatures remained below the freezing point.
Pahalgam in south Kashmir was the coldest place in the Valley where minimum temperature was minus 10.8 degrees.
Srinagar, the summer capital of the state recorded a low of 0.8 while the mercury in Qazigund in south Kashmir settled at a low of minus 2.0 degrees Celsius.
The night temperature in Gulmarg – the famous ski resort settled at a low of minus 8.5 degrees.
Kokernag town recorded a low of minus 3.0 degrees Celsius while Kupwara town in north Kashmir registered a low of minus 2.5 degrees Celsius last night.
Jammu city recorded 6.2 degrees Celsius, Katra 5.7, Batote 0.9, Banihal recorded 0.4 and Bhaderwah recorded minus 1.8 degrees Celsius as the night’s lowest temperatures.
