“I will take any decision by discussing it with my workers. If they suggest that I should contest the elections independently or join any party, I will do that.”

Bandipora, Aug 18: The former Apni party vice president and MLA Bandipora, Usman Majid, said on Sunday in Bandipora that he will take the decision to join any party after meeting with his workers.
Speaking with the media at his residence in Bandipora, Usman Majid as per Kashmir Despatch Correspondent said that during the elections, it is common for people to come and go in political parties, as it is their choice where they feel comfortable.
Replying to a question about joining the Congress party, Majid said that no such decision has been taken yet, and any decision to join any political party before or after the elections will be taken by speaking with ground-level workers.
“If my workers suggest that I fight the election as an independent candidate, or if they say that they will join any political party before or after the elections, I will do that,” he said.
He further added that people’s trust in political parties is decreasing as they did not stick to their promises. “Kashmiri people understand everything, and they have been fed up with the lies promised by these leaders since the last 70 years,” he said.
It is worth mentioning that Majid, along with his cadre, earlier this month resigned from the Apni party, which also led to controversy in the district as a few members, including the district president, claimed that he would be a part of the party.
