PM Modi Hails Armed Forces’ Bravery After Operation Sindoor, Recalls Balakot Strikes

Date:

Bikaner, May 22 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his first public rally after the success of Operation Sindoor, praised the valour of the Indian Armed Forces and reaffirmed his commitment to national security. Addressing a gathering in Rajasthan’s Bikaner, PM Modi recalled his 2019 pledge, saying, “Saugandh mujhe iss desh ki mitti ki, main desh nahi mitne dunga, main desh nahi jhukne dunga.”

Referring to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, where terrorists targeted people based on their religion, the Prime Minister said, “Those bullets fired in Pahalgam pierced the hearts of 140 crore Indians. The nation united to wipe out the terrorists, and the armed forces responded decisively.”

He highlighted that within 22 minutes, nine of the biggest terrorist hideouts were destroyed. “The world has seen what happens when Sindoor turns into gunpowder,” he remarked, explaining the significance of the operation’s name.

PM Modi also noted a historical coincidence, recalling that his first rally after the 2019 Balakot airstrikes was also held on the Rajasthan border. “This brave land teaches us that nothing is above the nation and its people,” he said.

On the development front, the Prime Minister underlined his government’s focus on infrastructure growth. “In the past 11 years, remarkable work has been done to modernise roads, airports, and railways. Today, there’s a sixfold increase in infrastructure investment compared to earlier times,” he stated.

Before the rally, PM Modi visited the Karni Mata temple, seeking blessings for the nation’s progress.
