Srinagar—Deputy Inspector General of Police for the South Kashmir Range, Rayees Mohammad Bhat, said on Wednesday that the police are always at the forefront of promoting different sports and activities among the people in general and youth in particular.
Speaking on the closing ceremony of the T-20 cricket tournament in south Kashmir’s Awantipora Rayees, Mohammad Bhat, as per the Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, said that J&K Police has always been on the forefront in providing platforms to youth and guiding them in following their goals by organising different events across J&K.
He said that by promoting and organising sports, the state police provide a platform for the players to show their talent.
SSP Awantipora thanked the participating teams for their sportsmanship and enthusiasm during the tournament. He also presented a trophy to DIG SKR Anantnag as a token of love and thanked him for attending the closing ceremony and for encouraging the youth towards sports activities.
