Baramulla, Sep 18: A prayer leader among four persons were arrested along with huge quantity of illegal drugs in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.

Reliable sources told Kashmir Despatch a prayer leader at Baramulla area among four persons were held along with huge quantity of illegal drugs whose market value is around 6 crores.

SSP Baramulla Abdul Qayoom in a press conference said that during naka checking which was laid at Khanpora bridge one person with illegal drugs was held.
He said after questioning police were succeed to arrest three more involved in the illegal drugs.

SSP in a press conference said 06 packets of narcotic drugs ( cocine like substance ) weighing about 6 kgs were recovered from their procession.

A case FIR no. 160/2020 U/S 8/21-29 NDPS act stands registered at police station Baramulla. The SSP further said more investigation has been initiated into this case and more arrests are expected.

The four arrested persons were identified as Bilal Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Mohammad Mir or Gulnar Park , Rafeeq Sofi alais Kanjwal son of Mohammad Shaban of Syed Karim, Tariq Guroo son of Abdul Rashid Guroo of Azad Gunj and Shabir Ahamd Mir son of Habibulla Mir of Ganderbal.
