Says Admin focusing to ensure power into hands of common people
Srinagar, Dec 09 : The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Monday said that the process for the assembly polls in the Union Territory of J&K will be started soon.
Lieutenant Governor, Jammu and Kashmir Girish Chandra Murmu while talking to reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration of a bridge at Draj area in Rajouri said, the administration is focusing to ensure power into the hands of people.
LG Murmu today inaugurated the bridge in Draj village along Rajouri to Budhal road. The bridge has been constructed by the Border Roads Organization (BRO).
According to the wire service—Correspondent, the LG while addressing the officers said that the administration has been working and focusing on ensuring power into the hands of people.
He also stated that the administration conducted Panchayat polls in Jammu and Kashmir and it is further focusing on ensuring the power into the hands of people.
Talking to reporters, the first-ever LG of Jammu and Kashmir while responding the query about the elections said that the polls are being conducted after due process. “The process will be conducted soon and you will come to know about the development when it will be started,” he added.
Pertinently on November 14, G C Murmu had in Jammu stated that the elections for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will be held soon. He had also stated that process for the polls has already been started.
The LG J&K had said that he was hopeful that like Lok Sabha polls, people will also participate in the assembly polls. (KNO)
