Srinagar | June 22, 2025:
As part of the ongoing celebrations under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a comprehensive sanitation drive was conducted today by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) in collaboration with SKIMS Medical College & Hospital, Bemina. The drive covered the entire hospital premises and its adjoining areas, aiming to promote cleanliness and public hygiene.
The initiative was efficiently coordinated by the Sanitation Wing of SKIMS MC, led by Sanitation Officer Mr. Manzoor Ahmad, Supervisor Mr. Mohd Rafiq, and Outsource Supervisor Mr. Bilal Ahmad, along with their dedicated sanitation team. The SKIMS MC team extended full support to the visiting SMC team, headed by Chief Sanitation Officer Mr. Mudasir Ahmad Banday, Sanitation Officer Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Khan, and Ward Officer-24 Bemina, Mr. Altaf Hussain.
Principal SKIMS MC, Prof. Fazal Q. Parray, expressed his sincere appreciation to all participating teams and emphasized the collective responsibility of maintaining hygiene and cleanliness within healthcare institutions. He made a fervent appeal to all visitors and attendants to uphold cleanliness in and around the hospital campus. Prof. Parray also assured continued cooperation for such impactful initiatives in the future.
The drive symbolized the spirit of civic responsibility and strengthened the commitment toward building a cleaner, healthier Srinagar.
