Sopore:In the Ongoing Shaheen Memorial Football Tourney, SFA Green defeated Parraypora FC Sopore By 1-0 in Penalties( Sudden death) Played here in Hadipora Sports Ground here on Thursday, While qualified for the final. The match went into tie-breaker.
In the Play SFA Green opened account in the 22th minute of the match giving early lead to the team. Trailing by a single goal, Parraypora FC went for an all out attack in the second half. They made desperate attempts to score and were finally successful in scoring goal in the 50th minute of the play. After that no team was able to score in the remaining time. When the final whistle blew the final score line didn’t alter 1-1 in favour of both the teams.
During the Game, Both teams played aggressive football. In the first five penalties, Both the teams scored 3-3 each Penalties. Later in the only Penalty, SFA Scored 1, while as Parraypora FC scored 0 (None). In the Second half, SFA Green missed several scoring opportunities.
In the Final, SFA Green will now take on Hyder FC Baramulla. Hundreds of people and sports lovers from Nook and corner of area witnessed the match. The Tournament is being organized by Hadipora Football Community.
