PULWAMA, Dec 24: The department of Sheep Husbandry (SHD) in Tral area of Pulwama district in South Kashmir on Saturday established thirteen units of sheep under different schemes at their Sub Division office in Bajwani.
The units were sanctioned in favour of around thirteen beneficiaries/sheep farmers from different parts of Tral and Pulwama, in presence of Director General, Sheep Husbandry Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Khan, District Officer, Dr. Mohammad Ashraf, ADC Tral, S.A. Raina, DDC member Tral, Dr. Harbaksh Singh, DDC member, Aripal, Manzoor Ahmad Ganai and other officials of Sheep Husbandry department.
On the occasion, the officials said that such schemes are being implemented in a transparent manner, where beneficiaries are getting benefits every year, particularly under Integrated Sheep Development Scheme (ISDS) and Tribal Sub Plan (TSP).
Meanwhile, Director General, Sheep Husbandry, Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Khan has said that, “people should avail such schemes, as the schemes are being implemented in a transparent way.”
He said that shortage of manpower in the department at Tral area should be redressed by sending more employees here, while appointment of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (VAS) would also be ensured timely.
