Sopore: A local from Sopore who had just returned from Hajj pilgrimage on Tuesday passed away after facing a massive heart attack.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that Ghulam Mohammad Gojri, son of Mohammad Ramzan Gojri of Hygam Sopore, aged around 70, had returned in the first batch of Hajis yesterday but soon after his return to home he became unwell. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors referred him to JVC Srinagar.
Despite the efforts of the medical staff, the pilgrim’s condition deteriorated rapidly. The Haji later lost his battle of life today morning, thus leaving behind a shocked and grieving family, the official added.
Meanwhile, a family member of the deceased Haji also confirmed to Kashmir Despatch, saying he lost his breath today morning at SKIMS medical institute Srinagar.
Pertinently, 630 pilgrims arrived in two flights at the Srinagar international airport on Tuesday after performing the Hajj.
