Sopore Teacher Receives Prestigious ‘Best Teacher 2023 Award’ at UT Level

Srinagar, Sep 5: The prestigious ‘Best Teacher 2023 Award’ was presented to Ms. Sufeena Bano, an exceptional educator, during a grand ceremony organized by Department of Education at SKICC, Srinagar. The event was guested by Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Mr. Manoj Sinha along with Principal Secretary of the Education Department, Mr Alok Kumar.

The event, participated by a galaxy of intellectuals from Jammu & Kashmir, celebrated educational excellence and recognized the remarkable contributions done by teachers including Sufeena Bano from across the union territory.

Bano, a dynamic and vibrant english language teacher, hails from the town of Sopore’s North Kashmir. Her dedication, passion, and innovative teaching ideas have left indelible marks on the field of education. Notably, she has actively been a playing a pivotal role in advancing the arena of State and National-level competitions, resulting in numerous accolades for students.

Remarkably, Bano’s role as a mentor teacher in DIET-based training, as ZCC (2017-19), and as an escort teacher for many major events has been influential. Her exemplary efforts n extend not only to her students but also to the wider community including parents. As of now, she has received over 55 awards for her selfless off-duty work, experiential learning, innovative and unique teaching methods.

Following the well-deserved award ceremony, Ms Bano expressed her emotions, saying, “I feel deeply honored and humbled to receive this token of the hardwork that I have done. It is a testament to my tireless approach and dedication to my work and students.” This recognition will obviously fuel my commitment to continue striving foe better education standard for students, she added optimistically.
