Blame each other for incident

Srinagar, Sep 17 : Scores of members from J&K Sports Council held a protest on Friday against what they termed as the shameful incident wherein Secretary of the council was allegedly attacked by a martial art girl, Nighat Bashir.
However, the martial art girl also staged a parallel protest, claiming that she was thrashed by the employees and was asked to pay Rs 30,000 for the verification of the certificate.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar, Manager of Gindun Stadium and Chief Coach of weight lifting termed the incident as shameful.
He said that the Secretary of J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul was attacked by the martial art girl. “The girl even attempted to murder the Secretary Sports Council,” he said, adding that even the government is appreciating the work being done by the council, but is this what the members of the council deserve.
Reacting to a query about martial arts girl’s allegations, he said in case the allegations are proven correct, all those who will be found involved are ready to resign from their duties.
The protesting members said that the martial Art teaches discipline, but what she has done is a slap on the sport.
Meanwhile, Nighat Bashir also staged a protest today at Srinagar’s press enclave and alleged that she was attacked by at least two dozen employees present in the office.
“I was beaten ruthlessly. Even my private parts were not spared,” she said, adding that she told the employees to verify her certificates, but was told to pay Rs 30,000 for the verification of the certificate.
Nighat also stated that she respect the position and the lady as well, but the Secretary council has misused her power and demanded justice—(KNO)
