Srinagar, May 07: An elderly man from Kashmir’s summer capital Srinagar on Thursday died due to COVID-19 at a hospital in Maharashtra’s Mumbai city.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a 70-year-old man hails from Genzkhud locality of downtown Srinagar on Thursday morning lost battle of life with this deadly infection at a hospital in Mumbai city.
Family sources also confirmed to Kashmir Despatch and said he was in Mumbai for treatment of a disease, however, after lockdown he stuck there only and became a victim of novel Coronavirus, and today morning he succumbed.
The family sources of the deceased man meanwhile urged people to pray for the departed soul at their homes and avoid visiting the residence in view of the prevailing situation due to Covid-19.
Pertinently, This is third Kashmiri resident who died outside due to the COVID-19 virus, Earlier a 34-year-old Kashmiri woman succumbed to Covid19 at a Dubai hospital.
The father of a Kashmiri dentist had passed away due to the pandemic in the UK last month and was the first from Kashmir who died due to this virus.
