Srinagar, Apr 14 : Srinagar Police has set up Women Helpdesks and a Mobile Safety Squad to ensure swift action against harassment and eve-teasing in public spaces.
Police Spokesperson in a statement , Srinagar Police has instituted Women Helpdesks in Police Stations and Mobile Women Safety Squad for the protection of girls and women in public spaces with the aim to prevent and eliminate instances of harassment, even-teasing and unsolicited comments in such public spaces.
If any girl or woman faces any kind of harassment, eve-teasing, bullying or unsolicited comments in public spaces, they are encouraged to call or WhatsApp on the following numbers to seek assistance from Srinagar Police for facilitation of prompt and effective real-time resolution of their grievances, it reads.
