SSP Jammu Conducts PCPG Meeting with Citizens at City Palace Jammu

Today on 29.06.2024, Dr. Vinod Kumar-IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, accompanied by SDPO City North Jammu and SHO Police Station Pacca Danga Jammu held a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at City Palace Jammu. The meeting was attended by a large number of prominent citizens and members of the general public from Jammu City.

The SSP Jammu actively listened to the grievances and concerns of the participants, fostering a collaborative atmosphere aimed at improving community safety and security. During the meeting SSP Jammu provided the following important suggestions:

  1. Implementation of New Criminal Laws:Participants were briefed on the implementation of new criminal laws to ensure better understanding and compliance within the community.
  2. Tenant Verification: Given the current security scenario in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, participants were directed to ensure proper verification of tenants to maintain a secure environment.
  3. Handling Suspicious Objects: Attendees were advised not to touch any objects found in suspicious conditions and to inform the police immediately to mitigate potential threats.
  4. Reporting Drug Hotspots:The community was encouraged to share information about drug hotspots to assist in combating drug-related issues in the area.
  5. Reporting Suspicious Activities:Participants were directed to promptly report any suspicious movements or activities to their respective Police Stations, Police Posts, or the PCR Jammu. Timely reporting is crucial for countering any malicious plans of Anti-National Elements (ANEs) and Anti-Social Elements (ASEs).

This meeting underscores the commitment of the Jammu Police to work closely with the community, enhancing trust and ensuring a safer environment for all residents.
