Srinagar: Two minor boys among two women were attacked and injured by stray dogs in north Kashmir’s Bandipora village on Thursday.
Reports said that a pack of stray dogs appeared in the Nadihal area of Bandipora and attacked at least four persons among two women and two boys. Reports said that the canines have spread a reign of terror among people mostly elderly people and school-going children. However, all the injured were taken to District hospital Bandipora for treatment reports added.

Earlier, a father of six daughters lost his battle with life during treatment for rabies at a hospital in Srinagar.
Kupwara man was admitted in Srinagar hospital for 20 days after stray dogs strike hit Handwara village and became victim along with two kids.
Pertinent to mention here the number of people who have died due to rabies encephalitis and canine attacks is continuously increasing in the Kashmir region.
There is an immediate need to control the population of stray dogs as early as possible or we would continue to see deaths and misery due to canine attacks in this northern region of Kashmir. It is to be decided whether to kill them or lock them up somewhere away from the region immediately, but we don’t have time to wait for their population to end through sterilization questions general public?
