Students of Bandipora Polytechnic College suffer in absence of transport facility

Bandipora, Mar 24 : Students of Government Polytechnic College at Watpora-Marg in Bandipora are facing inconvenience in absence of a transport facility.

Students as well as teachers of the college told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that they have to commute by public transport as the college does not provide transport facility to students.

“Since last year, we have urged the college and the district authorities to facilitate students with special buses but nothing has happened till date,” said Saleem Mir, one of the complaining students.

Shakeel Ahmad, another student said that they were assured by Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department (SDD) Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon that their issue will be addressed.

The students said that they have to walk on foot for a kilometre to reach the college when they travel by public transport.

Meanwhile, they appealed to the college and district administration to look into the issue and resolve their grievance at the earliest.

In this regard, a district administrative official assured that he will look into the matter—(KNO)
