Sopore, July 12: In a notable collaboration, Kashmir Speaks and Max Hospital organised a Free Medical Camp in Sopore of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
The camp was aimed at providing essential healthcare services to the local community, received widespread appreciation and support.
Notably, Masarat Rasool Kar, a prominent leader from the National Conference (NC), extended her support to the camp, emphasising the significance of accessible healthcare for all.
The event witnessed a significant turnout, with medical professionals offering their expertise and services to benefit the attendees.
The Free Medical Camp in Sopore served as a platform to address healthcare needs and promote well-being within the community.
Speaking on the occasion, National Conference leader Masrat Rasool Kar said that such programmes are very important for the people amid the increase in health-related cases. She said people since morning came here and were treated by expert doctors of Max Hospital and ASG Eye Hospital New Delhi.
“The good part of this camp was that a doctor from the Pandith community treated patients here. This sends a great message that a Pandith doctor treated Muslim patients and broke all barriers of religion, caste, or creed,” Kar said.
She said that the doctor’s participation sends a powerful message about the importance of communal harmony and coexistence.
She also appealed to the NGO Kashmir Speaks to organise such camps in other places, including Sopore.
