Hyderabad – The much-anticipated book launch of Blood Speaks Too: The Role of Muslims in India’s Independence by Syed Shahnawaz Ahmad Qadri took place on December 5th at a grand event in Telangana. This book highlights the pivotal contributions of Muslims to India’s freedom struggle and was translated by Pervez Alam Siddiqui and edited by Abdul Wasey.
The launch ceremony was honored by the presence of Shri Mallu Bhatti Vikaramarka Garu, the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, who served as the Chief Guest for the occasion. Shri Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud, President of the Telangana PCC and Member of the Legislative Council (MLC), was also in attendance as a Special Guest.
A notable attendee was Syed Abbass Rizvi, the former Executive Councillor of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) in Kargil, who was invited as a guest. Rizvi, known for his advocacy for cultural and historical awareness, facilitated the event and contributed to the enriching discussions on the historical significance of the role of Muslims in India’s independence movement.
The event featured a lively exchange of ideas and reflections on the roles of various communities in shaping India’s history, particularly during the freedom struggle. Guests expressed their appreciation for the detailed work presented in Blood Speaks Too, which seeks to preserve the often-overlooked contributions of Muslims to the nation’s fight for independence.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks to the dignitaries, participants, and attendees for their support and presence, further emphasizing the importance of fostering historical knowledge and dialogue across communities.
