Thousands of Social Media Accounts in Kashmir Valley On Radar of Cyber Police

After the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the cyber cell of the Jammu and Kashmir Police is keeping a close watch on Internet users amidst 2G mobile internet service started in the valley.

The social media account of every person who wants to make the situation worse in the valley along with spreading hatred, along with the rumors, the supporters of terrorism. According to police sources, thousands of suspected social media accounts are on his radar.

According to SSP Tahir Ashraf, cases of online fraud have been coming up for some time. The possibility of tracking such online fraud is quite low due to the use of VPNs reported Amar Ujala.

Tahir Ashraf said that cyber police is a police station in Kashmir zone in Srinagar and all cases that come under the purview of cyber policing are taken into consideration.

Tahir said that for the past several days, reports were coming that some people were uploading inflammatory, anti-national and other posts by misusing social media. After that many such social media accounts were put on the radar of the police. Also some were discontinued.

The SSP said that if any person is a victim of online fraud, first of all he should inform the cyber police station.

The quicker the information, the easier it will be to track the accused. However, the SP stated that the use of a VPN makes it difficult to track such a case reported Amar Ujala.
