Kishtwar, April 11: A top commander Saifullah, was among three terrorists killed during a three-day-long anti-militancy operation in the forests of Kishtwar, senior official sources confirmed.
Sources told Kashmir Despatch, the joint security forces’ operation, which remains ongoing, successfully neutralized the militants in a fierce gunfight. “Three terrorists have been eliminated so far. The operation is still underway to ensure complete clearance of the area,” an official stated.
Sources revealed that Saifullah, a high-ranking and most-wanted militant commander, was leading the group. His elimination marks a significant breakthrough in ongoing counter-terrorism efforts in the region.
A police officer told Kashmir Despatch that Security forces have intensified search operations in the area, with additional reinforcements deployed to secure the terrain. Further details are awaited as the operation progresses he added
Pertinently, on 9th April an exhange of fire took place between terrorists and security forces in forests Chatroo after suspicious movement was observed by the security forces.
