Traffic cop among two critically injured in Sopore road mishap

Sopore, Jun 30 : A traffic cop among two others were critically injured in a road mishap in north Kashmir’s Sopore on Saturday.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a naka was laid by traffic police at Saidpora area of Sopore on Saturday.

Reports said in the meantime two persons traveling in a bike bearing registration Number JK05 8704 didnt stop and hit with speedy tipper bearing registration number JK05 H 3080 which was coming from opposite side.

In the mishap a cop among two persons were injured and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital where from doctors referred traffic cop to Srinagar medical institute for advance treatment.

A police officer also confirmed the incident to Kashmir Despatch and identified all injured as Fayaz Ahmed Khan son of Ashraf Ahmed Khan resident of Uri (Traffic Cop), Irfan Ahamed Malla son of Ghulam Hassan Malla resident of Tragpora Sopore and Rayees Ahmed Mir son of Bashir Ahmad Mir resident of Tragpora Sopore. Officer said that the tipper driver was arrested and further investigation has been initiated in this regard.
