A resident of Sopore who tragically lost his son due to the COVID-19 pandemic, inaugurated his own clinic on Sunday to contribute to society and honor his son’s memory.
Ahmed Memorial Medical Clinic was inaugurated in Duroo, Sopore on Sunday.
What made this inauguration truly unique was the approach chosen by Zubair as instead of a conventional ceremony, he organized a free medical camp for the Zaingeer belt.
According to Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, during the medical camp, free medicines, thorough check-ups, and necessary tests of the patients were conducted.
As per the organizers more than 700 people participated in the camp with patients provided free of cost medicines and tests on day one.
“Around six doctors were present on the occasion to serve the huge rush of people who came all across the Zaingeer belt,” he added.
The expertise and dedication of the doctors further enhanced the quality of care provided to the community.
Talking to Kashmir Despatch, Zubair said it took me years to initiate this endeavor.
“I lost my son in the COVID-19 pandemic due to a lack of healthcare facilities in the Zaingeer belt. Losing your son isn’t that easy and it made me think of having a health care facility in the area. I don’t want others to lose their kids due to the absence of healthcare facilities,” he added.
“The situations and circumstances through which I passed and fulfilled my desire to do something for my society was not a cake walk but today here it is.”
He said all the reputed and quality doctors will serve patients at the clinic so that people of this belt will not suffer and will not lose time traveling to Srinagar or Sopore for any treatment that is easily available here.
He said in the future, free medical camps will be inaugurated for the people and society.
Zubair’s initiative of establishing the Ahmed Memorial Medicate Clinic and conducting the free medical camp reflects his sincere desire to give back to society, even in the face of personal tragedy. His selflessness and determination to provide healthcare access to those in need serve as an inspiration to us all.
Warpora Police Chowki Incharge Yousuf ul Umar, Mohammad Sikander Bhat, Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, and Lecturer Ayaz Ahmad Bhat, among others, were present on the occasion.
