SRINAGAR, Feb 4: The Thang-Ta players from Tral sub division of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district have shined at a National Championship held at Kanya Kumari in India.
As per the officials, the Thang-Ta players from Indoor Sports Complex Tral played marvelously at 28th National Championship, held from 1st February to 3rd February.
One of the officials has said that Farhaan Rafiq from Nagbal village of Tral won Gold medal, Sahib Sptan, Ruqaya Akram, Mahira Manzoor & Abid Ahmad Shah won silver medals, while Mohammad Mohi-Ud-Din, Sabreena Akram and Mehreen Maqbool won bronze medals during the championship.
The players were earlier selected through the Union Territory (UT) Championship held at J&K, where they performed greatly. It is pertinent to mention here that since the Indoor Stadium was established in Tral, the youngsters here started taking admissions, and then accordingly started performing well in District, State and now in National Championships.
