PULWAMA, Mar 4: A 20-year-old youth from Tral sub division of Pulwama district in South Kashmir has authored his first book, a month ago.
Basim Bashir Tantray, a student of Engineering (Diploma) at Islamic University of Science & Technology Awantipora, hails from Lariyar village of Tral, who took only a month to compile his debut book, titled ‘Growing Up Digital’.
The young author started writing in December 2022, and managed to compile his book on 21st of January (2023), which was later published in the first week February
The book, Growing Up Digital explores the effect of technology on the lives of children and young adult, wherein author reveals, “how technology is impacting the lives of young people, from communication and education to family and community.”
He also provides insight into how technology can be best used to ensure that young people are equipped with the skills to lead successful lives in an ever-changing world.
Moreover, the author, through his book, “provides parents with an invaluable guide to understand the digital generation, so that they can better understand and respond to their children’s needs in a fast-paced digital world.”
The author dedicated the book to his parents, and expressed his gratitude to one of his teachers, named Umar Saleem, HOD Civil, Polytechnic College, IUST Awantipora, for his support and constant encouragement.
The book has been published by Caroling Pen Publishing, which contains 74 pages in total, and is primarily focusing on the uses and abuses of technology in present era.
