Two injured in stray dog attacks in Uri

Uri, Jun 17 : Two people, including a 30-year old woman suffered injuries after being attacked by stray dogs in Border town Uri of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday.

Reports reaching said that the two persons including the woman were injured in the attack. The stray dog attacked them when they were walking on the link road.

The victims were rushed to the sub district hospital Uri for treatment.

A doctor at Uri hospital told that they have received the two injured persons with dog bites. He identified both the injured as Azra Begum (30) wife of Sajad Ahmed and Altaf Ahmed (28)son of Abdul Rashid both residents of Uri. The doctor further said that the injured were given first aid and are stable now.

Meanwhile, residents of Uri and its adjoining areas appealed Deputy Commissioner Baramulla to intervene into the issue as stray dogs are continue striking in this border town resulting fear among people especially school going children.

Pertinently, in March this year five people were injured in a stray dogs strike.
