Appeals students, locals to take necessary steps for curbing the drug menace
Sopore : Police in north Kashmir’s Sopore under Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan” destroyed bung cultivation along the roads in Dangerpora village.
A police team headed by station house officer Sopore Khalid Fayaz, Tehsildar Dangerpora, besides students of Hr. Secondary Dangerpora took out a massive drug de-addiction awareness rally in the area.
To generate mass awareness about the menace of drugs among the local masses especially among the students, the rally witnessed massive participation amid chanting of slogans “Nasha ko Chodna hai Desh ko bachana hai” and against the drug abuse.
Police on the occasion also destroyed wildly grown bung along the roads at Dangerpora.
While addressing the students SHO Sopore Khalid Fayaz appealed them to take necessary steps for curbing the drug menace. He also advised all the locals and young people of the area not to fall prey to the addiction and also sought their cooperation in eradicating the drug abuse completely from their area.
