The Hon’ble vice chancellor SKAUST-K laid foundation stone of KVK-Gurez at Dawar, today on 06th August 2023.
The said building is coming up at a cost of Rs 2.00 crores approximately and is centrally located at Dawar where a huge chunk of farm land is also available for scientific work.
On this occasion Director Extension, Director Research, Dean Horticulture, Estate officer SKAUST-K along with all the heads of various KVK’s of Kashmir division were present.
The district administration among others, was represented by SDM Gurez during the said function.
This will be the second KVK in district Bandipora and first in the far-flung area of Gurez of the UT of J&K.
The Hon’ble VC has already transferred many scientists to Gurez to make the said KVK fully operational.
