Jammu & Kashmir: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast another spell of heavy snowfall and rain in J&K and Ladakh UTs during the next 48-hours.
According to IMD, there are chances of snowfall at most places in the higher reaches of Jammu, Kashmir Valley, Leh and Kargil districts between November 14 and16.
“It may lead to landslide, waterlogging over low lying areas, disruption of air and surface transportation on the Leh-Srinagar highway, Srinagar-Jammu highway and Leh-Manali highway,” said Sonum Lotus, Director, IMD, Srinagar.
Meanwhile, the traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar highway was stopped on Thursday afternoon, following landslides near Ramban.
