SRINAGAR, Nov 6 : Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Friday lashed out on BJP for its ‘silence’ over China issue.

As per Kashmir Despatch correspondent, after interacting with party leaders and workers at party office Jammu, Mehbooba said, ”Why BJP leaders are silent on China which has entered into 1000 square kilometer of our territory and martyred 20 of our Jawans in Ladakh. Why are they afraid of China which has constructed permanent barracks there,” she asked.

She said: “India is ok with having an eighth round of talks with China, but the same government feels shame to talk to its own people from Jammu and Kashmir,” she added.

Mehbooba also talked about the abrogation of Article 370 and implementation of new land laws. She said that those who will support these diktats will repent tomorrow. “It is high time we wake up from slumber and fight for our rights that have been snatched,” she said.

She said: “New Delhi is saying that situation is under control then why PDP leaders and workers are not allowed to hold protests. You want to suppress voices of people.”

Mehbooba reached Jammu where meeting of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) is scheduled on November 7 at Dr Farooq’s Bhatindi residence.
