Srinagar May 21 : To pay homage to head Constable Anoop Singh who was killed at Prichoo Pulwama area on Thursday, a wreath laying ceremony was held at District Police Lines Awantipora.
The police in a statement issued said, “To pay honour and respect to Head Constable Anoop Singh who was killed today in a militant attack at Prichoo Pulwama, a wreath lying ceremony was held in District Police Lines Awantipora where floral tributes were paid to Anoop Singh”.
The statement further reads “Civil & Police Officers led by IGP Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar-IPS, IGP CRPF Rajash Kumar, DC Pulwama Ragov Langar-IAS laid floral wreaths on the mortal remains and paid rich tributes to the martyr”.
“Among others who paid floral tributes to the martyr include senior officers of CAPF, SP Pulwama Ashish Mishra-IPS, Commandant IR10th Fayaz Ahmad-JKPS and other officers and jawans of the police and security forces”.
The cops body was later on handed over to his next of kins for last rites.
