Bandipora, Nov 03: The border securoty forces in Bandipora dostrict of North Kashmir om Sunday oragmised a Wular half marathon from Madar Bandipora- Wular vintage Bandipora.
Students of differnet age groups apart from border security petsons take part in this marathon whuch was flagged off from BSF Camp Madar Bandipora at around 6:30 in the morning.
Speaking with the media local students said that they are thankful to Border seciritu forces for organising the Wular half marathon says these types of events are impirtant to be held as it motivates others to take cares of their health.
They also hoprd that mlre such marathons will be organised at district level in the future also.
The event was attended by IGP BSF, famous actress and painter Moubani Sorcar and other officials of BSF who take part in the marthon and hailed the fforts of BSF for organised these kind of marthons.
“This is the step to raise awareness about to preserve our ecology, wular lake and take care of our health,” she said while speakimg with the media on the sidelines of a function in Wular vintage park Bandipora.
“The aim of the marathon was to showcase the beauty of Wular lake and motivate the youths of Bandipora to join sports and showcase their talents,” IGP BSF Kashmir Ashok Yadav told media.
The event concluded with a prize destribution cermenoy to the furst second and third position canfidates of diffetent age groups who participated in the marathon.
