Srinagar, March 14 : Government forces on Saturday arrested a youth during an ongoing cordon-and-search operation at Bulgam area of Sopore in north Kashmir.
A police officer told GNS that acting on a specific information, a joint team of army, CRPF and SOG launched a search operation at Bulgam village today evening.
While conducting searches in the village, the forces apprehended one youth who hails from neighbouring Baramulla, the officer said. Initial probe suggests that he was planning to join militant ranks.
He said that searches are under way to trace out another youth believed to be a militant from south Kashmir. (GNS)
