Sopore : Clashes between students and forces rocked in North Kashmir’s Sopore, disrupting normal life in the town on Tuesday.
Students of Government Degree College boycotted their classes and tried to take out a rally outside College against the rape and murder case of little girl Asifa.
Reports said that the students indulged in stone-pelting after police tried to stop them from marching on the roads, leading to clashes between the two sides. Reports added police fired dozens of teargas shells to disperse them.
However, students clashes resulted in disruption in business activities and traffic movement in the down town area of Sopore town.
It is pertinent to mention here that classwork in Degree College Sopore was resumed after week which was suspended ad a precautionary measure soon after the civilian killings in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
