Bandipora: A Protest demonstration was held on Monday against attempts to revoke the special status of Jammu and Kashmir
Trader’s Assocation Bandipora took out a peaceful march here today in presence of President of Trade Organization , Shamshad Ahamad Kuchay against the petitions in the Supreme court challenging the validity of Article 35A of the Constitution which grants special status to permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir.
“We express our concern over the threat to abrogate Article 35A through mischievous scheming,” he said.
He said that the business community would not shy away from “shedding their blood” for protection of the special status granted to the state.
The protesters marched towards Nowpora Chowk while holding banners that read ‘we protest against Article- 35 A unacceptable’, “Dismiss The Petition Challenge”, and raised slogans against attempts to abrogate Article 35A.
It is pertinent to mention here that Supreme Court of India has Adjourned Hearing of the bunch of PILs challenging Article 35A of Constitution of India Nd next date of Hearing of Article 35 A is 27 August
