HFC Yadipora Stun Alamdar Goushbugh in panelty Shootout

Pattan : Grand final of Covid19 football tournament ussan in association with DFA Zone Pattan was played at ussan of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The Final football match of the tournament was played between HFC Yadipora and Alamdar Goushbugh and the match was won by HFC Yadipora in panelty shootout by 3-2 at sports field ussan Pattan .
This match proved to be one of the most exciting finals in recent memory, both the teams play aggressively in the match HFC Yadipora opened account in the 19th minute of the match, giving early lead to the team. Trailing by a single goal, Alamdar went for all out attacks but failed to score till the half vissle blew .
In second half Alamdar Goushbugh made desperate attempts and tried their best to score, finally were successful, when ball deflected onto the arm of defender of HFC Yadipora, The center reff blew the vissle and give handball with that Alamdar Goushbugh succeeded in scoring a goal in the 48th minute of the allotted time. When the final whistle blew the score line didn’t alter 1-1.
The Final match was later decided on penalties, in which HFC Yadipora held their nerves by winning it by 3-2.
“To being a Champion & to facing the pressure of defending that championship, that conceptions killing us immensely” said a player of winning team .
But for all who were there, there was a giddiness to the moment, a sense of excitement at the possibilities being modeled before our eyes, a feeling we were witnessing the beginning of a curious addictive future of sports.
The match was witnessed by huge gathering and every minute spectators cheer their favourite players, Huge number of fans gathered at the venue to witness the match.From children to senior citizens, the crowd thoroughly enjoyed the 70-minutes of high voltage football match at ussan sports field.
32 teams from different zones participate in this tournament.
Executive member of DFA Zone Pattan, most senior football player in Pattan area Mohammad Ashraf Dar was chief guest on the occasion, Danish Manzoor (Media Advisor DFA Zone Pattan), Riyaz ahmad Pandith, Abdul Qayoom (Nana), Gh hassan bhat, Mohammad yousuf and Fayaz Ahmad lone, Prince tahir and other Great personalities of Ussan & Goushbugh village were present as guests on the occasion.
The senior citizens of the village applauded the role of youths in conducting such activities round the year with an aim to scoop up the talent of the youths in sports activities.
The aim of organising this tournament is to nurture the sports talent and development of team spirit in the youths of the district said tournament management member.
The football Tournament concluded with distribution of prizes and trophies to the winner and all the playing members for their felicitation.Mehraj Ahmad of HFC Yadipora was adjudged as man of the match for his fervent performance During the match.
