ICDS employees without salary, stages protest in Baramulla

Baramulla : Scores of Supervisors working with Social Welfare Department’s Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) on Friday protested at Dak Banglow Baramulla in north Kashmir against their long pending salaries.


The protesting employees said despite taking the issue with the higher authorities of the Department, but they have completely failed to get the justice till date.


They said the intention of the government and department is not right. They are demoralising employees by not paying them the salary in time. The salary is being delayed and we have not received salary since months the protesting supervisors claiming.


The protesting supervisors further said to Kashmir Despatch that they work for the betterment of children; however, their own children are suffering now.


They while demanding the implement of ” Beti Bachao Beti Padhao ” scheme in Baramulla said that we too are daughters of this nation, and why we will be ignored. They added that we should be also benefited from this scheme if other districts are getting.
