Leopard caught alive in Budgam village

Budgam, Nov 28 : A leopard was on Saturday evening captured alive by the officials of the Wildlife department in Dadmaribagh Chadoora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

A wildlife official told that the leopard was spotted at the main market in Panzan Chadoora before a week and was captured alive by Wildlife department officials on Saturday evening.

A wildlife official said that the department has asked its men to remain alert as there was the possibility of the cubs, mother of the cubs, searching for them.

“We have asked the concerned officials to remain alert and vigilant to capture the female leopard who might be roaming in the area with cubs,” the official added.

He said that they have left the village with the leopard towards Dachigam National Park, where they will the captured leopard will be set free—(KNO)
