Don’t pay heed to rumours, don’t exaggerate any matter: Rohit Kansal

Srinagar, February 24 : Government spokesman Rohit Kansal over the past few days that information rather wrong information had led to confusion and chaos and that the government makes a fervent appeal to the people of State not to pay heed to rumours and don’t exaggerate any matter that can led to tension.

Addressing media men in Jammu, Kansal said that the wake of recent attack at Pulwama, there have been reports about the attacks and harassment of Kashmiri students, but on behalf of the government, “I want to say that the State government is serious about the issues confronting the students. 

In November seven liaison officers were appointed and since Pulwama attack, these officers were further activated,” Kansal said. “Over a thousand interactions were carried out and also with the heads of various educational institutions.”

He said that due cognizance was taken even on the small call. “All the state governments of various states of India are in touch with the J&K government,” he said and appealed people of J&K for calm “as the government was concerned was about the welfare of the people.”

Induction of the companies should be seen in the backdrop election preparedness, Kansal said.  About the action being talked about those involved in arson in Jammu, he said that anyone who is involved in any act against the law will be booked.

He said that the shortage of essentials was because of the highway, and nobody should read more into it.  On article 35 A, Kansal said that on February 11, government had requested the supreme court for deferment of the hearing and its stand continues to be same.
