Nocturnal Gunfight rattles Shopain village

Srinagar, March 22: Nocturnal gunfight rages between militants and goverment forces in Ratnipora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian area on Friday.

Reports reaching GNS said that a joint Army’s 34 RR, CRPF and SOG launched cordon and search operation in Ratnipora.

A senior Police officer told GNS that exchange of firing has taken place in Ratnipora between militants and goverment forces after having reliable information about the presence of some militants in the area.

As per the sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped.

Till this report was being filed exchange of firing was going on.(GNS)
