Two army soldiers injured in IED blast along LoC in Kupwara

Srinagar, May 5 (GNS): Two armymen were injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast at Khanthawala area of LoC in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday.

Official sources told GNS that two army soldiers of 2/8 GR received serious wounds in their legs at Khanthawali Post area along the Line of Control in the explosion.

The blast occurred when one among the injured soldiers stepped over the IED in the area, they said.

A police officer while confirming it said that both the injured were taken to nearby health facility where from they have shifted to army’s 92 base hospital Badamibagh Srinagar for advanced treatment. (GNS)
