Army soldier abducted by unknown gunmen in Central Kashmir’s Budgam

Srinagar, March 8 (GNS): An army soldier was abducted by unknown gunmen at Qaipora village in Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday late evening.

A police officer told GNS that soon after receiving the information about the abduction of the army man namely Mohammad Yaseen of Jakli unit from his home at Qaipora late this evening, a joint team of police and army has rushed to the spot to ascertain the details.

Sources said that the soldier was abducted by suspected militants.

Meanwhile, a massive search operation was launched in Qaipora, Chadoora and borders of neighboring Pulwama district. (GNS)
