Encounter rages In South Kashmir Village

Srinagar, June 17 : Gun battle rages between militants and government forces in Badoora area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday morning.

Reports reaching said that a joint team of Army’, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Akingam area.

A senior police officer told that it was a specific information about the presence of some militants in the area.

Officer further said that while the forces zeroed towards the suspected spot where militants were hiding, the militants opened fire on the forces triggering an encounter.

As per the sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area.
