Two groups fight for mandate for their favourite leaders

BARAMULLA, Jun 26: All is not well within Baramulla unit of National Conference. This became evident on Wednesday when two groups of National Conference workers exchanged heated arguments against each other demanding mandates for their favourite leaders, at Dak Bunglow Baramulla.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said that two groups of National Conference workers demanded mandate to their favorite candidates for upcoming elections in the state, the dates for which are yet to be announced by the Election Commission of India.

Eyewitness told Kashmir Despatch that supporters of Tariq Kakroo raised slogans and demanded mandate for him for upcoming elections for Baramulla seat, while other groups of people were seen in favour of two candidates including Advocate Shahid Ali Shah and Senior leader National Conference Ghulam Hassan Rahi.

Group of supporters while talking to Kashmir Despatch on the sidelines of a function held by National Conference at Dak Banglow Baramulla said that Tariq Kakroo is the best option for Baramulla assembly constituency who according to them feels the pain of common masses and can serve people of Baramulla in a better way. They said that kakroo is the only candidate who can give fight to other parties and can win with good margin. 

Pertinently, Ali Mohammad Sagar Vice President of National Conference, Senior leaders of National Conference Nasir Aslam Wani, former minister and senior leader of National Conference Javed Ahmed Dar, Dr Sajad Shafi, Women’s wing district president Adv Neelofar and other parts leaders were present on the programme at Dak Banglow Baramulla.
