Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested Six gamblers and recovered Rs. 51795 stake money from their possession, said a spokesman.
“Based on a specific information Police party of Police station Ganderbal under the supervision of Ssp Ganderbal Shri Khalil Poswal(JKPS) raided a gaming site at Badrakund Ganderbal and apprehended five gamblers Identified as: Mushtaq Ahmed Munshi s/o Gulam Ahmed Munshi r/o Ganai Mohalla Soura, Mehraj-u-din Dar s/o Gulzar Ahmed Dar R/o Shahpora Baderkund, Nazir Ahmed Sheikh S/o Mohammed Yousuf Sheikh R/o Khalil colony Soura, Mehraj-u-din Baba s/o Gulam Ahmed Baba r/o Nowhatta Srinagar, Irshad Ahmed pandit S/o Gulam Rasool pandit R/o Ganai Mohalla Soura and Mohammed Yaseen Najar s/o Abdul Salam Najar r/o Soura Srinagar.
A stake money of rupees 51795 seized on the spot.” Spokesman said.
“All the gamblers were arrested and In this regard case Fir.No.37/2019 Under section 13 gambling act was registered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigations have been taken up.” Police spokesman added
