06 more persons die of COVID

JK reports 364 fresh positive cases

Srinagar, Oct 26 : Jammu and Kashmir Monday recorded six Covid-19 related deaths taking the death toll to 1,444  in the Union Territory while 364 positive cases were reported pushing the J&K tally to 92,225.

Of the total 92,225 cases, 55,406 are from Kashmir and 36,819 from Jammu division. Officials told that among 364 new cases, 217 belong to Kashmir division while as 147 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 55,406 including 49,420 recoveries and 964 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 36,819 including 34,065 recoveries and 480 deaths.

The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 7,296 including 5,022 from Kashmir division and 2,274 from Jammu division.

With 627 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 83,485 which is 90.52 percent of the total cases.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 76 from Srinagar, 13 from Budgam, 56 from Baramulla, 15 from Pulwama,  25 from Kupwara, 07 from Anantnag, 05 from Bandipora, 13 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 06 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 147 from Jammu division include 108  from Jammu, 04 from Udhampur, 06 from Doda, 05 from Kuthua, 10 from Poonch, 02 from Samba,07 from Ramban and 05 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.

Notably, in the last 24 hours, six persons who were tested positive for COVID-19 have died which include four from Kashmir division and two from Jammu division.

As per media bulletin, patients who have died include two each from Srinagar and Baramulla in Kashmir division while as two deaths from Jammu division include one each from Udhampur and Doda.

As per officials figures, 18,729 positive cases including 346 deaths and 16,738 recoveries are from Srinagar, 5,877 including 92 deaths and 5,458 recoveries are from Budgam, 5,675 including 4,118 recoveries and 143 deaths are from Baramulla, 4,573 including 4,250 recoveries and 80 deaths are from Pulwama, 4,311 including 71 deaths and 3,840 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,183 including 3,771 recoveries and 74 deaths are from Anantnag, 3,981 cases including 3,667 and 45 deaths are from Bandipora, 3,440 including 3,214 recoveries and 32 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,460 including 2,301 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,177 including 2,054 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Shopian.

In Jammu division, 17,013 including 15,874 recoveries and 249 deaths are from Jammu district, 3,172 including 3,000 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Rajouri, 2,637 including 2,503 recoveries and 29 deaths are from Udhampur, 2,615 including 2,415 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Doda, 2,387 including 2,312 recoveries and 30 deaths are from Kuthua, 2,219 including 1,930 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Poonch, 2,135 including 1,738 recoveries and 25 deaths are from Samba, 1,849 including  1,662 recoveries and 14 deaths are from Kishtwar, 1,563 including 1,484 recoveries and 13 deaths are from Ramban and 1,229 including 1,147 recoveries and 07 deaths are from Reasi.

As per the daily information bulletin, 642,510 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 18,198 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 7,296 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 568,747 persons have completed surveillance period and 46,825 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 2,194,292 samples are available.

Out of 2,194,292 the number of samples tested negative stands at 2,102,067 while as 92,225have tested positive, among them 7,296 are active, 83,485 persons have recovered and 1,444 persons have died.
